The project
I had the pleasure to take part on Cheeky Bingo Brand Refresh project. I was responsible for the conception of re-imagining the 2d style of the character already existent on the website.
The client was looking for a matured look and feel, cheeky and fun. A new character, with a new aspirational look and feel, staying true to the original approach.
Client´s feedback
We really like Cheeky! We think she is of the now, not too young, has personality and feels a fair evolution of our longstanding Cheeky character and a good representation that makes for more relevance and of the nowness!
Development
The first step was to create lots of quick ideas. I developed some of them further, with different views, expressions and actions. First as sketches then testing with colours as well.
This new range of expressions and styling is called Cheeky Moments.

This is a project for Ladbrokes Cross Sell Gaming and Sports.
THE PROBLEM
How can we sell creatively Cross Sell?
For both, the marketing and design team, the problem we encounter is to display an engaging and fun key visual for Cross Sell that combines a complex mix of elements related to sports and slots.
At this point, there is not consistency across the offers. The concepts are difficult to digest, and the elements seem to be floating without any apparent connection.
THE BRIEFING
According to the briefing the main task is to create a character/ mascot in order to keep balance and consistency across the offers.
THE SOLUTION
The solution is the mascot’s ability to tell a story.
Solves the problem combining different elements in a fun way, maintaining at the same time, consistency across all Cross Sell offers related to casino/slots.
It is open for creativity as it is easy to customise by the design team and evolves with the brand.
Adding a background the character is in the context, that allow us to give more depth in the story we want to tell.
Currently the Slots Guy is in about 7 different positions / sports.
It is a clear favourite amongst sports fans.
It is used to build familiarity between slots/casino players and Xsell offers.
This Character is well known today as “The Slots Guy”.

The task was to create the logo & visual identity for the maintenance company GIBNOVA, based in Gibraltar (UK).
The name of the company, which combines two words “Gibraltar + Innovation”, was the starting point.
Besides, working with the client we realised that NOVA also brings another meaning in Spanish which is “it doesn’t work” and we thought it would work perfectly for our purpose.
Regarding the symbol and in order to grab attention in Gibraltar’s community, the idea is to incorporate concepts such as “friendly”, “close” and “digital”, which have been incorporated in the shape of monkeys.
The macaques are the national symbol in Gibraltar!!
