The FIFA+ platform aims to enhance the viewing experience for sports enthusiasts by providing a rich library of video content. However, user engagement has been suboptimal due to a lack of content suggestions after finishing a video, leading to increased drop-off rates.
Users currently experience a disjointed viewing journey, finishing a video without receiving recommendations for related content. This gap in the user experience results in decreased engagement, lower content discoverability, and diminished revenue from video ads
Increase User Engagement: Enhance the likelihood of continued content consumption.
Improve Content Discoverability: Make related content easily accessible.
Boost Revenue from Video Ads: Create opportunities for ad placements without disrupting user experience..
As the full-screen video comes to an end, the "Watch Next" feature is displayed on the screen, allowing users to view the upcoming content that will be shown in a specific number of seconds. To indicate the imminent action to the user, the play button progressively fills up, providing a visual cue that playback will be available when the countdown reaches zero. This feature enhances the user experience by enabling them to preview and anticipate the forthcoming content.
Upon interaction or hovering, the video controls will display, along with a back button for easy navigation.
When the user cancels autoplay, the call-to-action changes from "Play Now" to "Resume."
